The 2nd Rural Development Conference (RDC2016) was held from 13–15 March 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand, at the AETAS Lumpini Hotel.
RDC2016 convened a global community of researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, civil-society actors and other stakeholders — all committed to sustainable rural development, agriculture, infrastructure, and community resilience. Across several days of presentations, discussions, and networking, the conference provided a platform for sharing research findings, policy analysis, and country-level case studies on rural livelihoods, environmental sustainability, and rural social-economic development.
With its interdisciplinary approach and global reach, RDC2016 reaffirmed the conference’s mission to be a space for inclusive dialogue and collaboration for rural development and sustainable futures.
