The 3rd Rural Development Conference (RDC2017) was held from 9–11 July 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand, at the AETAS Lumpini Hotel.

RDC2017 brought together a global community of researchers, development professionals, policymakers, civil-society representatives and practitioners to exchange research findings, policy insights and case studies related to agriculture, rural development, sustainability, and community resilience. It provided a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on rural livelihoods, environmental management, food security, and rural social-economic development.
